SCS Gearbox DRIVESHAFTS

SCS Gearbox solid bar driveshafts are machined from aircraft quality alloy steel and are tempered for maximum torsional strength. All splines are cut to slip fit with mating couplers, permitting fast disassembly without special tools. Available in both Lenco-style 1-3/8″ x 16 spline and the SCS heavy-duty 2-1/16″ x 32 spline. All driveshafts are custom made to length for every application.

SCS Gearbox SLIDE COUPLERS

SCS Gearbox slide (or gap) couplers are precision broached to provide a reliable fit with both the output shaft and driveshaft. Our 1-3/8″ x 16 spline couplers are perfect for single engine and staircased drivelines while the SCS Gearbox heavy-duty 2-1/16″ x 32 spline couplers are essential for fast gear changes between rounds.

SCS Gearbox PINION COUPLERS

An SCS Gearbox pinion coupler is the ideal replacement for a weak universal-joint yokes, offering long life, maximum strength and easy assembly.  All pinion couplers are internally broached for a slip-fit onto the pinion shaft and case hardened for minimal wear. The internal teeth are shaped to allow reasonable drive-line misalignment (3 degrees) from chassis flex without sacrificing strength.

SCS Gearbox has pinion couplers for 540 and 640 John Deere Skidders, 1-3/4″ x 10 spline commercial truck rear ends and all automotive rear ends. Most are available in Lenco size as well as our own heavy-duty SCS Gearbox units, and we can custom make couplers to fit many other applications too.
